Inspired by the popular British TV show 'Dragon's Den', the students were set the challenge of inventing an original device which helps you speak English.
The prototypes were created under time pressure before being presented to our panel of judges. The inventions were assessed on the resourceful use of materials, originality, function and its marketability.
Highly commended designs included the Robot Translator 2000, the stylish Hat which hit you in the face with a balloon every time you spoke another language, and the hockey stick/mop which translates other languages into English whilst you clean or play sport!
